Has your Computer been stolen?

Crime can only be subdued if it becomes difficult to resell stolen goods.

Whenever you purchase new computing equipment, spend a few minutes documenting certain information about the item. Use the list below as a guideline:

  1. Make and Model.
  2. Date Purchased.
  3. Where purchased.
  4. Serial number.
  5. Photos of the item, with one of them showing the serial number and another showing the make and model.

If the manufacturer provides a facility to register the new purchase, use it.

In the event that the tem is stolen, we will be more than happy to help you advertise it for free. It is important that you provide accurate information in order increases your chances of successfully getting it back.

  2. What was taken.
  3. Special markings (scratches, quirks, etc)
  4. Location where the item was last sighted / stored.
  5. When was the loss discovered.
  6. How did it happen.
  7. Contact info to report loss.
  8. Reward (if any).
  9. Points 1-5 recorded when the item was purchased.
